WELCOME! To summer camp!

thanks for your kind words. Oh yes, it can be very busy. That is why I am trying to shift my business to a more holistic approach (for me!). Here I’m with @RebeccaLewis , I’m simply doing too many individual things at the same time, too many individual outlets and products/services. That has too change. So I hear you, @emmak! Carving a different life for oneself and make the shift towards something new.
I’m trying to focus on what I do best and what I enjoy most, then concentrate on that. I’ve started reading Camilla’s lessons on creative businesses and thought I give it a go. What if? What if I would be planning a new business for myself, what would it be? What do I expect from it? Maybe if I look at it from that perspective, I can find a new balance for it.
Our youngest child is starting Primary in September, so focusing on work will have a different perspective for me then (less guilt!).NinaParticipant@ninaJune 5, 2018 at 6:58 pm #6153
As I cannot figure out how to edit a post, I meant to tag Kathryn Lewis, not Emma, regarding carving out a different life!
@emmak , I simply love your life description! Living rural, with your young daughter, sheep and hens, loving outdoors.. in my opinion, that’s the good life! Looking forward to chat more.June 5, 2018 at 9:06 pm #6165
There are some familiar faces here 🙂 so hello to those I already know and looking forward to meeting lots of new faces too! I will have a look for all of you over on IG this eve!
I’m Laura and I live by the sea in Porthcawl, South Wales and have 2 children – Evan who is nearly 7 and Mollie 4. I started my business The Smallest Light about 8 months ago, I make and sell my aromatherapy candles based on the seasons – I sell online through Etsy & Micromkt (my website is nearly ready though!) and you can find me on IG @smallestlight.
I feel I am on a such a steep learning curve with everything about running a small business, before I started I knew nothing about social media and knew no one doing anything vaguely similar to me! I have slowly found friends and connections (mainly through IG) which have really helped me along my journey so far. This is why I am so looking forward to being part of this sisterhood community!Rebecca AmesburyParticipant@the_sparkle_nestJune 5, 2018 at 9:27 pm #6167
Hello everyone, it’s so lovely to be here and read your introductions!
I’m Rebecca, and I live in Wiltshire with my two young children and our cat. My two boys are 3 and 19 months.
I’m a blogger, and I also have a small soap and skincare business. I work two days a week in a shop, and spend two days a week on my online and creative work, and life is so busy, but pretty wonderful.
I’ve wanted to attend a sisterhood retreat for so long, but being a single mum with children so small has meant it hasn’t been possible yet, so I was excited to join the online community, and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and getting stuck in!

Hi Laura @smallestlight,
Love your candles! I bought a few for my ‘Galentines’ back in February and they were very popular.

Hey Katherine, welcome!
You live in Bristol? I do too. Where have you settled? I’m south of the river in Southville.
Lovely to have you here. I hope you enjoy a summer devoted to you!

A very late Hello to everyone from me! Its so lovely to be here and to join in with Sisterhood online camp.
I’m Trudi, I live in Scotland (Dundee) with my husband, horse and dog. I’m a scientist (microscopy specialist – I work at the University of Edinburgh), at heart I’m a science geek but I have a very creative side too. I love to be outside especially in the hills, I get to spend time outside everyday with my horse and dog. I’m an avid knitter (I post pictures of my knits as @tending.to.vanish), coffee drinker and I love the sea!
I missed the first week and introductions here as I was recovering from chemotherapy, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer just over 3 1/2 years ago when I was 41. Unfortunately my cancer has spread and my diagnosis is now terminal, however although I don’t have all the time in world anymore I’m hoping I can make the most of the time I have and learn to be the best person I can be. I wanted to join Sisterhood camp as I have a specific creative goal in mind – I want to use my knitting to be able to fund raise and give back a little to Maggie’s Centres who have provided me with invaluable support through my cancer diagnosis and treatment.
I love the website you have created Lou, and am looking forward getting to know you all and to seeing where this online Sisterhood Camp journey takes us all.

A very warm welcome @trudigillespie
Love your Instagram – the bobble hat/swimming costume combo is a winner!
I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I hope you are continuing to get the care and support you need and deserve.
And, I’m 100% behind supporting you fundraise for Maggie’s Centres.
Look forward to chatting more xx
